10% neutral buffered formalin
The SecurBiop® container is designed for small biopsy samples. The cap is pre-filled with 10% neutral buffered formalin and sealed with a resistant membrane.
It is simple to use: open the container, remove the safety ring, and place the sample into the empty cup without coming into contact with formaldehyde—neither vapor nor liquid.
Once the sample is inserted, close the cap. When sealed, the membrane will break, releasing the formalin needed to fix the sample.
The airtight closure prevents any contact with both formalin vapors and liquid, and is ensured by an O-ring integrated into the cap.

1. Put on gloves and open a tray of SecurBiop® 10ml or 20ml, then take one container.

2. The container is ready to use.

3. Unscrew the container from the cap.

4. Collect the biopsy sample and place it inside the container.

5. Hold the cap with one hand and remove the safety ring from the lid.

6. Close the container by screwing the cap back on.

7. Tilt the container at a 45° angle to facilitate the flow of formalin.

8. Place the container in the appropriate support.

9. Send the sample to the laboratory, ensuring it remains in an upright position.
