The SecurBiop® 10+10ml container has been specifically designed to facilitate the release of the sample from the biopsy forceps. The cap is pre-filled with an 8% aqueous formaldehyde solution and sealed with a resistant membrane. The cup is pre-filled with physiological (saline) solution.
By mixing the contents of the cap and the cup, 10% neutral buffered formalin is obtained.
It is simple to use: open the container, remove the safety ring, and place the sample into the empty cup without coming into contact with formaldehyde—neither vapor nor liquid. Once the sample is inserted, use the saline solution to help detach it from the forceps, then close the cap. When the container is sealed, the membrane will break, releasing the formalin required to fix the sample. The airtight closure, which prevents any contact with both formalin vapors and liquid, is guaranteed.

1. Wear protective gloves (butyl or nitrile) and remove the container from its packaging.

2. While holding the container with one hand, remove the protective membrane by pulling the tab.

3. After removing the membrane, collect the biopsy sample and place it inside the container.

4. Hold the cap with one hand and remove the safety ring.

5. Close the container by screwing the cap onto the cup, taking care to keep it in an upright position.

6. Tilt the container at a 45° angle to facilitate the flow of the liquid.

7. The sample can now be safely transported to the laboratory, making sure to keep the container upright.
